Everything has come to a SCREECHING HALT...again

The National Adoption Center (NAC) has no officially changed hands. So everything is put to a stop again. So it looks like we will not be getting our Dec/Jan letter afterall.

It was dissapointing to hear, but in the long run I truly belive it is for the best. It gives the orphanages time to update all available children and send that info to the NAC, it gives the NAC time to update the available orphans binders. It gives us time to add to our adoption fund as well. The only thing hard about it is the waiting, but we are getting pretty good at that. Actually its very easy to do, because we understand that when He has decided that we will meet our child/ren then and only then will we do so. So, needless to say Faith is in huge demand around here, as well as patience.

So as of right now, we are 13 months along. I have lost more weight 47, but I think the holidays added a few pounds to me. I'll know more when I get to work with that on Monday, as there is not a scale here, which is good.

We all had a good Christmas. Tad was so excited to give Kelsey her pony cart. He ended up hooking the cart up in the dark and they attempted to go for a ride in the car, while it was still dark on Christmas morning. I think it was hooked up wrong and something went wrong and the pony went nuts adn turned the cart over and ran into the side of the car. Fortunately no one was hurt, only the car. Kelsey scraped her hand a bit, but other than that all is well. I think it was a good thing that she could see what could go wrong. However, she is a bit timid about riding in the cart now. But I'm sure by warmer weather, she will have had many miles put onto her cart. Did I mention that this is the cart that used to belong to my Aunt Carlotta and Uncle Robert? We even rode in it as kids. I hope you all had a good Christmas and I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

Until next time,

Kristi
